IC Catholic Prep gets by Bishop McNamara to remain undefeated

The IC Catholic Prep football team remained undefeated after a close 21-20 Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division win against Bishop McNamara in Elmhurst.
The win put the Knights at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in MSC Blue action.
Quarterback Khalil Saunders completed 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards and two touch-downs. He had a long pass of 60 yards.
IC Catholic Prep ran for 187 yards as a team on 45 carries (4.2 yards per carry). Soph-omore Kyle Franklin led the way. He ran 33 times for 134 yards and scored a touchdown. Saunders ran 10 times for 46 yards.
Saunders completed passes to six different receivers. Jacob Lytton caught five passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. Sean Hipskind caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown. Franklin had two catches for 29 yards, while Ryan Malek caught two passes for nine yards. Jalen Bates and Corties Draper each caught a pass.
The Knights fumbled three times and lost two.
On defense, Kevin Cooke led the way with 22 total tackles. Kemon Reese made 14 tack-les, while Dominick Krepulec had 13 tackles. Ricky Mysliwiec had eight tackles and Saunders had seven tackles. Lytton, Reese and Mysliwiec each had a tackle for loss. Hipskind had one interception. Steven Crady and Cooke each caused a fumble, while Kevin Akins recovered a fumble. Crady returned three kickoffs for 85 yards and had a long kickoff return of 36 yards. Tom Sloan kicked three extra points.
