Lombard/Villa Park police reports–August 16

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Assault, battery
Aug. 4
A complainant at 7-Eleven, 1 W. St. Charles, advised at 9:02 p.m. that two subjects struck him. Both subjects fled the scene.
Aug. 2
Timothy Magitt, 23, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with aggravated battery and home invasion; Elijah Nutall, 21, of Wheaton, was charged with home invasion; and Samantha Keith, 27, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in the 300 block of N. Columbine at 2:31 p.m.

Criminal damage to property, damage to property, criminal trespass to property
Aug. 8
A complainant in the 2700 block of S. Highland advised at 1:55 a.m. that the right rear passenger window of his vehicle was shattered.
An employee at Ray Graham, 1108 N. Main, advised at 9:09 a.m. that the window of a van was shattered.
Aug. 5
An employee in the 800 block of S. Finley advised at 6:26 a.m. that a Mutt Mitt dispenser was damage by fireworks.
Aug. 3
A complainant in the 800 block of S. School advised at 10:31 a.m. that a subject broke a terracotta pot on his driveway at 1 a.m.
An officer observed two instances of a mailbox lying in the street in the 200 and 300 blocks of N. Grace between 2:37 and 2:50 a.m.

A complainant in the 600 block of E. South Broadway advised at 12:49 p.m. that his vehicle was scratched with a key.
A complainant in the 300 block of S. Edgewood advised at 8:39 p.m. that his vehicles were scratched with a key.
A complainant in the 600 block of E. South Broadway advised at 8:31 p.m. that his vehicle was scratched with a key.

Domestic battery, domestic incident, disturbance
Aug. 8
An employee at McDonalds, 300 E. Roosevelt, advised at 11:41 p.m. that a subject was refusing to leave the drive-thru lane. The subject left prior to an officer’s arrival.
Aug. 7
A complainant in the 300 block of W. St. Charles advised at 7:55 a.m. that a subject struck her during a verbal argument in Aurora. The complainant was advised to contact the Aurora Police Department.
Aug. 6
A complainant in the 700 block of E. South Broadway advised that a suspect pulled a bracelet off the victim’s wrist and took her cell phone during a verbal argument at 3:21 p.m.
Aug. 3
A complainant in the 400 block of S. Brewster advised at 9:57 p.m. that a subject struck her in the nose during a verbal argument. The subject advised that the complainant struck him. No complaints were signed. Both agreed not to have contact for the rest of the night.
Aug. 5
A complainant in the 2700 block of S. Highland advised of a physical altercation with a subject at 2:42 a.m.
An employee at Embassy Suites, 707 E. Butterfield, advised at 11:29 a.m. that a subject described as black female claimed a male subject had a gun. Several subjects were arguing in the lot and left the area prior to an officer’s arrival.
Aug. 4
A complainant near Maple and Fairfield advised at 6:11 p.m. that they engaged in a physical altercation with a subject. No complaints were signed.

Aug. 4
Dlisa Daniels, 31, of Lombard, was charged with DUI and endangering the life of a child near Westmore and Highridge at 3:11 a.m.
Timothy Holt, 31, of Itasca, was charged with DUI, no insurance and unsafe tires near St. Charles and Broadview at 12:30 a.m.
Aug. 3
Anthony Herd, 22, of Lombard, was charged with DUI and speeding near Roosevelt and Westmore at 1:22 a.m.
Tammie Mueller, 45, of Lombard, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license suspended and no insurance near Sunset and Joyce at 4:22 p.m.
Mateusz Rozak, 38, of Tinley Park, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, improper use of registration, no insurance and no seat belt near Roosevelt and Main at 6:24 p.m.

Harassment, threats
Aug. 8
A complainant in the 1-100 block of Woodland Court advised at 11:38 a.m. that they received several harassing text messages.
Aug. 4
A complainant in the 100 block of Oakton Drive advised at 12:27 p.m. that a male subject threatened him during a phone call and also advised that he received several obscene texts. The complainant was advised not to answer the phone number or the texts.
A complainant at McDonald’s, 1 Yorktown, advised at 12:47 p.m. that a subject was harassing him at work. The complainant was advised to speak with a supervisor or consult an attorney.
Aug. 3
A parent in the 1000 block of S. Norbury advised at 7:23 p.m. that a juvenile had been communicating with a subject over the internet for the past two years and the juvenile no longer wants contact from the subject. The subject was told to stop contact with the juvenile.

Possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance
Aug. 7
Brenna Dupre, 18, of Glen Ellyn, was issued local ordinance violations for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis and no seat belt near Roosevelt and Highland at 5 p.m.
Aug. 5
Sherman Willis, 38, of Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm in the 2200 block of S. Highland at 3:17 a.m.
Aug. 4
Kari Doud, 35, of Addison, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and tinted windows near North and Main at 5:50 a.m.
Darnell Walker, 38, of Lombard, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding near Highland and Roosevelt at 4:38 p.m. Police said Walker also was arrested on a warrant.
Deshawn Williams, 23, of Lombard, was issued a local ordinance violation for possession of cannabis and speeding near Main and Grove at 9:20 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances
Aug. 8
A complainant in the 1100 block of S. School advised at 10:48 p.m. that a subject described as a white male was looking into his front window. The complainant confronted the subject, who then fled the area.
Aug. 7
A complainant in the 1000 block of S. Westmore advised at 11:58 a.m. that two male subjects followed her while she shopped at Jewel.
A complainant in the 300 block of W. Taylor advised at 11:11 p.m. that a subject in a vehicle followed her as she drove to the gas station and the bank.
Aug. 6
A complainant in the 200 block of S. Highland advised at 5:52 a.m. of drug activity in the area.
A complainant near North and Grace advised at 9:02 p.m. that he heard a sound near his head and smelled burning while he walked in the area, which was checked with no results.
Aug. 4
Two complainants near Westmore and Roosevelt advised at 2:27 a.m. that a subject in another vehicle was following them. The subject pulled up alongside them and rolled the window down, but did not say anything to them and left the area.
A complainant at McDonald’s, 550 W. North, advised at 6:19 p.m. that a subject described as a black male looked into her vehicle and then left a duffle bag by the garbage.
A complainant near Willow and Main advised at 12:05 p.m. that two subjects were passing drugs between two vehicles. The area was checked with no results.
Aug. 3
A complainant in the 300 block of Cimarron advised at 2:30 p.m. that a child was left in a running vehicle. The area was checked with no results.
An employee at North American Firearms, 315 S. Main, advised at 9:02 p.m. that a subject described as a black male entered the store and began taking videos. The subject left prior to an officer’s arrival.
A complainant in the 1-100 block of N. Park advised at 1:20 p.m. that an ex-boyfriend of a victim continues to come to the building. An officer was unable to make contact with the victim.

A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth advised at 10:58 a.m. that a subject had disposed of paint by pouring it into Clover Creek.

Aug. 8
Retail theft was reported at Jewel, 1177 S. Main, at 10:32 a.m. An employee advised that a subject described as an Hispanic male had taken cases of Red Bull and left without paying.
Retail theft was reported at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield, at 3:47 p.m. An employee advised that four subjects described as black females and one subject described as a black male had taken merchandise and fled the store.
Burglary was reported in the 2200 block of S. Stewart at 6:52 p.m. A complainant advised that items were missing from the residence.
Aug. 7
Burglary to a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of S. Elizabeth at 8:35 a.m. A complainant advised that his work ID card was taken from his unlocked vehicle.
Theft was reported at Classy Nails, 2830 S. Highland, at 9:29 a.m. A complainant advised that a subject and three others left the salon without paying their bill.
Fraud was reported at Fairfield Inn, 645 W. North, at 7 p.m. A complainant advised that he responded to a fraudulent Craigslist ad for an apartment.
Aug. 6
Rhonda Bolden, 42, and Brent White, 42, both of Niles, were charged with retail theft at Jewel, 1177 S. Main, at 6:29 a.m.
Tamara Pike, 33, of Lemont, was charged with retail theft at Marshalls, 102 Yorktown, at 2:49 p.m.
Fraud was reported in the 200 block of E. Harrison at 9:38 a.m. A complainant advised that her personal information was used to open a Walmart credit card.
Retail theft was reported at Mariano’s, 345 W. Roosevelt, at 10:21 a.m. An employee advised that two subjects described as black males had taken a cart full of liquor and left without paying.
An employee at CD One Price Cleaners, 315 E. Roosevelt, advised at 11:48 a.m. that a female subject paid for merchandise with a credit card number and then later cancelled the transaction.
Aug. 5
Theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Craig Place at 3:46 p.m. A complainant advised that a pair of diamond earrings were taken from her jewelry box.
Fraud was reported in the 1100 block of Hunter at 8:56 p.m. A complainant advised that his credit card information was used for unauthorized purchases.
Aug. 4
Fraud was reported in the 700 block of Morris at 4:42 p.m. A complainant received a call from a subject from Apple claiming there was a virus on the complainant’s computer. The subject requested $200 in gift cards.
Identity theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Martha at 8:27 p.m. A complainant advised that his personal information was used to purchase and insure a motorcycle.
Fraud was reported at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 9:07 p.m. An employee advised that a subject had concealed merchandise in a bag and fraudulently returned merchandise for a cash refund. The subject agreed to return the items and the cash.
Theft was reported at 203 Yorktown at 6:18 p.m. A complainant advised that he dropped his credit card while at the mall, and was notified that several unauthorized purchases were made with the card.
Aug. 3
Theft was reported in the 1-100 block of N. Park at 1:14 p.m. A complainant advised that five potted plants were taken from her porch.
Fraud was reported at Amaani Jewelers, 221 Yorktown, at 11:42 a.m. A complainant advised that his personal information was used to open a credit card account.
Theft was reported in the 300 block of W. Windsor at 6:44 a.m. An employee advised that a subject had taken a power supply and six batteries from a cable cabinet box.
Fraud was reported at Chick-fil-A, 717 E. Butterfield, at 2:48 p.m. An employee advised that a subject used a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for a purchase.
Aug. 2
Identity theft was reported in the 2700 block of S. Highland at 8:11 a.m. Two complainants advised that their personal information was used to rent an apartment and open a currency exchange account.
A complainant in the 1000 block of Beverly Court advised at 9:19 a.m. that a subject purchased tickets from him and then disputed the charge.

Villa Park

Aug. 4
Charles L. Erves, 53, of Plainfield, was charged with two counts of DUI, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a crash in the 100 block of E. North at 1:47 a.m.
Liliana J. Silva, 27, of Lombard, was charged with DUI in the 600 block of S. Yale at 3:26 a.m.
Aug. 2
Jorge L. Vera, 21, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI and improper parking on a roadway, and was issued a citation for possession of cannabis at the Addison UP railroad tracks at 3:28 a.m.
July 30
Burglary was reported at Motel 6 at 1:30 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect entered a vehicle parked in the lot and stole a wallet that was left near the console.
June 25
Theft was reported in the 300 block of E. Vermont at 9:36 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a package delivered by U.S. Mail.
