The Lombard Police Department
recently reported the following
arrests and citations. Readers are
reminded that an arrest does not
constitute a conviction, and that
subjects are considered innocent
unless proven guilty in a court of
law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger
are not named.

Assault, battery

July 8
Schadia Joyce, 24, of Lombard,
was charged with battery in the 200
block of S. Westmore at 6:52 p.m.

 

Criminal damage to property,

July 9
A complainant at Glenbard East
High School, 1014 S. Main, advised
at 10:22 a.m. that the side
mirror of his vehicle was damaged.

July 6
A complainant at Brio, 330 Yorktown,
advised at 4:44 p.m. that a
tire on her vehicle was slashed.

 

Disorderly conduct

July 10
An employee at University of
Health Sciences, 200 E. Roosevelt,
advised at 3:38 p.m. that a subject
on a motorcycle was speeding in
the parking lot and displaying an
obscene gesture. The subject left
prior to an officer’s arrival, but was
located and issued a trespass warning.

July 9
A complainant in the 100 block
of S. Main advised at 5:24 p.m. that
a subject poured a coffee-like substance
on her vehicle.

 

Domestic battery, domestic
incident, disturbance

July 10
A complainant in the 1100 block
of E. Addison advised at 9:38 a.m.
that a subject was taking a juvenile
to Florida in violation of a custody
agreement.

July 9
A complainant in the 2200 block
of S. Grace advised at 10:32 p.m.
that a subject struck him in the
stomach during a verbal argument.
The complainant did not sign complaints.

A complainant at 7-Eleven, 246
S. Westmore-Meyers, advised at
9:52 p.m. that subjects were fighting
in the parking lot. The area was
checked with no results.

July 8
A 22-year-old Maywood man
was charged with domestic battery
and no valid driver’s license near
Madison and Cedar at 10:02 a.m.

A complainant in the 300 block
of S. Main advised at 12:31 a.m. of
a physical altercation with a subject.
No complaints were signed;
the complainant left the residence
for the night.

A complainant in the 1100 block
of E. Jackson Blvd. advised at
12:45 p.m. that two subjects were
verbally abusive and yelled at her.
All were told not to have contact.

July 7
A 40-year-old Chicago man was
charged with domestic battery near
Finley and Charles Lane at 10:46
a.m.

A complainant at Enchanted Castle,
1103 S. Main, advised at 8:34
p.m. that a subject hit him on the
head with a snowbrush during a
verbal argument. No complaints
were signed; both left the scene
separately.

July 6
An employee at Abbot Party
Rentals, 925 E. St. Charles, advised
at 1:46 p.m. that a subject was refusing
to leave following his termination.
The subject left prior to
an officer’s arrival, was located and
issued a trespass warning.

July 5
A complainant in the 500 block
of Green Valley advised that several
subjects were yelling and
fighting. An officer spoke with the
subjects. All advised the altercation
was verbal only. All were told to
leave the scene and complied.

July 10
Jacob Hamilton, 19, of Lombard;
Noah Townsend, 19, of Lombard;
and John Campobasso, 20, of Villa
Park, were issued local ordinance
violations for possession of alcohol
by a minor in the 1-100 block of N.
Craig at 8:58 p.m.

Andrew Lang, 51, of Bensenville,
was charged with DUI, improper
lane usage and no insurance
near North and Grace at 1:03 a.m.

July 8
Nico McManus, 27, of Worth,
was charged with DUI, improper
lane usage, disobeying a traffic
signal and no insurance near Roosevelt
and Main at 2:10 a.m.

July 7
Sheljo Abraham, 23, of Villa
Park, was charged with DUI, improper
lane usage and failure to
carry a driver’s license on person
near Columbine and St. Charles at
1:20 a.m.

Richard Rodriguez, 34, of Berwyn,
was charged with DUI, illegal
transportation of alcohol and possession
of cannabis near Roosevelt
and Church 1:15 p.m.

July 6
Daniel Jones, 52, of Maywood,
was charged with illegal transportation
of alcohol, driving while
licensed suspended and expired
registration near Roosevelt and
Church at 9:59 p.m.

July 5
Elias Lean, 41, of Chicago, was
charged with possession of a controlled
substance, possession of
cannabis, driving while license
suspended and improper lane usage
near Roosevelt and Westmore at
12:39 a.m.

 

Harassment, threats

July 8
A complainant in the 2100 block
of S. Vista advised at 2:18 p.m. that
a subject continues to call and text
her. The subject was told to stop
contact with the complainant.

July 7
A parent and juvenile in the 1900
block of S. Downing advised at
3:29 p.m. that the juvenile received
several calls and a threatening text
message.

July 6
A complainant in the 100 block
of S. Edgewood advised at 11 a.m.
that a subject is harassing her.

A complainant in the 1000 block
of E. Division advised at 7:55 p.m.
that a male subject threatened him
during a phone call.

July 5
A complainant in the 100 block
of N. Ahrens advised at 10:27 p.m.
that they received a threatening text
message from a subject.

July 7
Samia Hooper, 29, of Lombard,
was charged with possession of
cannabis near Roosevelt and Addison
at 12:37 a.m.

 

Suspicious circumstances

July 10
A complainant in the 600 block
of S. Lombard advised at 1:38 p.m.
that she received notification of a
red light ticket issued to a vehicle
with the same license plate as hers.
The complainant was advised to
contact the Secretary of State.

A parent near Main and Willow
advised at 4:30 p.m. that a male
subject in a red vehicle followed a
juvenile as he walked in the area.

July 9
A complainant in the 200 block
of N. Broadview advised at 12:59
p.m. that a subject threw tomatoes
at the residence.

A complainant near Grace and
St. Charles advised at 6:31 p.m.
that a subject in a vehicle was driving
recklessly and shooting fireworks
out the window. An officer
was unable to make contact with
the subject.

July 8
A complainant near Westmore
and Maple advised at 3:13 p.m. that
a male subject began following her
as she walked in the area. The subject
approached the complainant,
who walked towards a residence
and the subject left the area.

A complainant in the 100 block
of W. 22nd advised at 4:18 p.m.
that a subject was smashing rocks
in the parking lot. The subject was
told to stop and leave the area.

July 7
A complainant in the 200 block
of W. Potomac advised at 12:17
a.m. that they heard gunshots in the
area. The area was checked with no
results.

An employee at Lover’s Lane,
711 E. Roosevelt, advised at 10:02
a.m. that a male subject was sleeping
on the trash can. The subject
was advised to leave the area.

A complainant in the 500 block
of S. Ahrens advised at 8:37 p.m.
that they heard a female screaming.
The area was checked with no results.

July 6
A complainant in the 500 block
of S. Westmore advised at 10:49
a.m. that a black male subject and
a female Hispanic subject used the
bathroom and walked around the
residence. The male subject advised
he thought the female subject
lived at the residence. The complainant
advised the subject did not
reside at the home. The male subject
escorted the female subject out
and both left the area.

July 5
A complainant in the 2200 block
of S. Highland advised at 9:11 p.m.
that a male subject in a truck followed
her while she was jogging
and attempted to speak with her.

A complainant in the 400 block
of N. Ridge advised at 10:59 p.m.
that two male subjects exited a vehicle
and walked down the block.
The complainant followed the subjects
who then confronted the complainant.
The complainant advised
he would contact the Lombard Police
Department and the subjects
left the area.

July 10
Ashley Reynolds, 31, of Bellwood,
was charged with retail theft
at Mariano’s, 345 W. Roosevelt, at
3:44 p.m.

An employee at Pep Boys, 851
E. Roosevelt, advised at 2:53 p.m.
that a subject did not return a rental
vehicle.

Theft was reported in the 500
block of W. North at 4:08 p.m. A
complainant advised that his military
ID card was taken.

Theft was reported at Sonesta
Suites, 2001 S. Highland, at 5:57
p.m. A complainant advised that a
watch, perfume and a gold bracelet
were taken from the bathroom
counter in her guest room.

Fraud was reported in the 1000
block of W. Foxworth at 8:31 p.m.
A complainant advised that she received
calls from a subject claiming
there was a virus on her computer
and the subject needed personal information
from the complainant to
remove it.

July 9
Miry McElroy, 20, of Lombard,
was charged with retail theft at
Mariano’s 345 W. Roosevelt, at
4:15 p.m.

Ramiro Pachero-Estrada, 42, of
Brookfield, was charged with retail
theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown,
at 8:03 p.m.

Theft was reported in the 100
block of June Lane at 4:57 p.m. A
complainant advised that a laptop
was taken from the residence.

Retail theft was reported at Mobil,
435 W. Roosevelt, at 5:51 a.m.
An employee advised that three
subjects described as black males
took merchandise and left the station
without paying.

Theft was reported in the 2200
block of S. Grace at 2 p.m. A complainant
advised that his credit card
was used for unauthorized purchases.

Theft was reported at T-Mobile,
159 Yorktown, at 6:58 p.m. A complainant
advised that an iPad was
taken from a chair outside the store.

July 8
Retail theft was reported at
7-Eleven, 246 S. Westmore, at
8:11 p.m. An employee advised
that a male subject reached over
the counter and took a pack of cigarettes
while the employee’s back
was turned. An officer spoke to the
subject, who advised a friend had
taken the cigarettes and he would
pay for them.

July 7-July 8
Burglary to a vehicle was reported
in the 400 block of N. Martha. A
complainant advised that between
7:07 a.m. July 7 and 7:08 a.m. July
8, a GPS unit and a makeup bag
were taken from her vehicle.

July 7
Theft was reported at Ruff Life in
the 1-100 block of W. St. Charles at
12:02 p.m. A complainant advised
she left her long board propped up
outside the store, and when she returned,
the long board was gone.

Identity theft was reported in
the 1900 block of Downing at 2:15
p.m. A complainant advised that
her debit card information was used
for unauthorized withdrawals made
against her account.

July 6
A complainant in the 700 block
of S. Finley advised at 10:58 p.m.
that her personal information was
used to open a grocery account.

Theft was reported in the 100
block of E. Maple at 1:11 p.m. A
complainant advised that his motorcycle
was taken from behind the
garage.

Fraud was reported in the 800
block of E. Division at 5:39 p.m. A
complainant advised that he deposited
several checks into his account
for a subject and withdrew cash to
deposit in her account. The complainant
advised the checks were
fraudulent.

July 5
Fraud was reported at Floor and
Décor, 1000 N. Rohwling, at 11:34
a.m. An employee advised that a
subject paid for merchandise with
a fraudulent credit card.

 

Warrant arrest

July 6
Police said Angela Saccomanno,
35, of Lombard, was taken into custody
on a Lombard Police Department
original complaint for possession
of a controlled substance.

complaint for domestic battery
in the 2100 block of S. Finley at
7:30 p.m.
