Was Special Olympics gold medalist

William “Billy” Graham, of Addison, died March 5, 2018, at the age of 62 at his home, Iona Glos SLC, a Ray Graham facility, where he resided since 1980. He was born April 26, 1955, in Elmhurst, the son of the late Joseph P. Graham and Sophie, (nee Bloniarz, Graham. He leaves his loving sisters Judy Collins, Mary (Larry) Ellingsen, Sheila Graham and sister-in-law Colleen Graham and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Joseph P. “Pat”, and Michael Graham, sister Kathy Finke and brother-in-law George P. “Pat” Collins. Billy loved his Iona Glos family and staff. He was a frequent gold medalist in the Special Olympics in running events and loved to swim and play basketball as well as strum his guitar as he listened to his favorite music. He attended the Elmhurst CLC during the day, a workshop community center. A private burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery beside his parents. On April 22 at 12:30 p.m., a luncheon will be held at the Iona Glos Meeting room, 50 S. Fairbank, Addison, followed by a Celebration of Billy’s life.
