York girls bowlers second at regional

The York girls bowling team continued its impressive season by taking second at the recent Metea Valley regional.
The Dukes finished with a pinfall of 5,497. Willowbrook won the regional with a total of 5,705.
York had high team games of 975, 963 and 948.
Senior Lauren Gould was fourth overall with a score of 1,204. Junior Ruby Noel was 12th with an 1,105, while senior Lauren Steck was 13th with an 1,105 as well. Junior Krystyna Panek was 19th with a 1,057, while sophomore Nora O’Brien was 21st with a 1,026.
Gould had high games of 251, 210, 201 and 200. She finished with a 618 series after the lunch break and averaged 200.7 for the tournament.
Noel had high games of 214 and 200, while Steck had high games of 226 and 208. She finished with a 609 series for her final three games.
Panek had high games of 193, 192 and 185, while O’Brien had high games of 199 and 191.
