Mapes, Cronin and Dryden had some recent successes at a pair of invitationals. Mapes took seventh on balance beam and Cronin took eight on bars at the Hinsdale South invitational, while Dryden was seventh on vault at Hersey. The trio helped York increase its score by a full point from the Hinsdale South event to the Hersey event.
