New president named to DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association

On Thursday Sept. 28., Bensenville Police Chief, Frank Kosman was named president of the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association.

The oath of office was administered by former Village Attorney and now Law Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit, Peter Ostling.

“I am honored to have this opportunity and look forward to utilizing my experiences as Police Chief in Bensenville to continue making a positive impact in DuPage County,” Chief Kosman said.

Chief Kosman will be serving a one year term as president.

Since its establishment in 1863, the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association has grown to become one of the largest in the United States. The Association is comprised of one hundred and fifteen of the County’s top law enforcement executives, including retired police executives and private sector partners. The association’s main goal is to enhance public security by providing enhanced communication, education and training. There are currently thirty eight police agencies in DuPage County that are active participants, including communities like Bensenville, Addison, Elmhurst and many others.
