Event to include shuttle service from Metro station, two pool lots
Something new and exciting is brewing in Villa Park. The inaugural Villa Park BREWFEST will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 from 2-5:30 p.m. at Cortesi Veterans Memorial Park, 318 E. Kenilworth. This first-ever event will be a fantastic craft beer tasting festival and will showcase the talents and interesting beers from area breweries. Attendees will enjoy sampling craft beers and hard ciders from approximately 20 breweries.
Tickets are available for purchase, online only, at $59 for a Gold Pass which provides early entrance from 1-2 p.m., a food ticket, use of indoor bathrooms and a commemorative tasting glass.
General admission tickets are $45 and include entrance from 2-5:30 p.m., and a commemorative tasting glass.
A designated driver ticket is $15.
Please note that BREWFEST is a 21-and-older event, even the designated driver needs to be at least 21. Several food trucks will be at BREWFEST offering a variety of food items for purchase.
A free shuttle service will be offered and run from the Villa Park Metra Station, 349 N. Ardmore, to BREWFEST. The shuttle will also run from two off-site lots: Jefferson Pool, 341 N. Harvard; and, Lufkin Pool, 1000 S. Ardmore. Times are approximate to accommodate eastbound and westbound trains. Jefferson Pool shuttle times are: 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.; Lufkin Pool shuttles will run 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 4:45 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.
