Pictured is the Elmhurst Fire and Police Department Honor Guards, which took part in a ceremony that was held on Monday at the south Fire Station #2 to honor those who perished in the events of 9/11. The mayor offered an address, then Fire Chief Thomas Freeman told personal point of view stories he knew about the first-responders, many of whom ran into the building on that fateful day and never came back out.
