Career workshops at Villa Park Public Library

Feeling stuck in your current job? Not sure how to get your foot on to that dream career ladder? We can help with that. All you need to do is bring an open mind to Career Passioneering at the Villa Park Public Library and begin the career path that you design! Opportunities won’t necessarily come to you, which is why we’ll show you how to go and get them. Meetings will take place on Saturdays, July 29 and Aug. 26 from 9:30–11:30 a.m.

Tom Somora, an employment services representative with IDES (Illinois Department of Employment Services), will provide participants with the necessary tools to re-enter the job market and find a rewarding and fulfilling career. Whether that’s recommendations for companies such as ARC Resumes that can help you to write a career-building resume, or knowing how to decipher what the company is actually asking for in their job description, we will do our best to answer any other questions that you may have. Each two-hour session is designed to provide practical, actionable, and relevant advice to those who are attempting to revive an old career or begin a new one. Because there is nothing worse than feeling stuck or trapped in your current place of work.

Registration is required for each session. For more information, visit the library’s website at www.vppl.info or call 630-834-1164.

The Villa Park Public Library builds, connects, and partners with our community to encourage exploration and discovery. The library nurtures this growth through education, literacy, technology, and fun.
