Addison Center for the Arts continues free “Concerts in the Park “


The Addison Center for the Arts will continue its free “Concerts in the Park” series on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. on the new Addison Village grounds at the Gazebo, One Friendship Plaza. Bring a lawn chair , your favorite beverage and friends to hear a wide variety of music. In case of rain, the concerts will be held in the Addison Village Hall Rotunda.

August 8 – 7 p.m. “The Limited Edition Big Band”

Back for the 29th year in Addison, “The Limited Edition Big Band” has been delighting audiences with a stunning library of over 1,100 charts covering a full spectrum of big band, jazz and dance music. These 18 musicians are session players members of other jazz, big bands in the Chicago Metro area, and are considered a “cream of the crop” ensemble. They play a variety of music from the great touring bands such as Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton to classics by Glenn Miller,Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman.

August 15 – 7 p.m. “Transformation”

“Transformation” is the best of vintage rock and today’s country, funk, disco and R&B music. Seven incredibly talented musicians with four lead vocalists provide tribute level performances.
