Lombard Police report

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Battery

May 2

A complainant in the 1000 block of E. Division St. advised at 4:15 p.m. that a subject struck him on the nose during a verbal argument. The subject denied striking the complainant.

May 1

A complainant in the 1000 block of Rohlwing advised at 9:38 a.m. that a subject struck him on the head during a verbal altercation, and that the subject also pushed a victim as he fled the scene on April 29.

April 26

A complainant in the 700 block of W. Roosevelt advised at 8:10 p.m. that an employee hit him during a verbal altercation. An officer determined that both were at fault, and no complaints were signed.

A complainant in the 2200 block of S.Grace advised at 8:20 p.m. that a subject pushed him during a verbal altercation. The complainant did not want to sign a complaint.

April 24

A complainant at Sal’s Pizza, 410 W. 22nd St., advised at 8:33 p.m. that a subject described as an Hispanic male grabbed her and threw her to the ground as she walked home. The area was checked for the subject with no results.

Domestic incident, domestic battery

May 1

A complainant in the 2700 block of S. Highland advised at 5:33 p.m. that a subject became physically aggressive towards him. The subject agreed to leave the residence.

April 29

Two complainants in the 500 block of N. Edgewood advised at 1:36 a.m. that a juvenile damaged items in the house during a verbal argument. The juvenile left prior to an officer’s arrival.

A complainant in the 500 block of N. Edgewood advised at 3:22 a.m. that a juvenile was intoxicated and began breaking objects in the home. The juvenile left prior to an officer’s arrival, but was located and transported from the residence.

April 26

A complainant in the 1-100 block of N. Park advised at 6:35 p.m. that a subject struck her during a verbal argument. No complaints were signed; the subject agreed to leave the residence for the evening.

April 24

A complainant in the 600 block of Rochelle Terrace advised at 6:57 p.m. that he and a subject each spit in each other’s face during a verbal argument.

DUI, possession of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of open alcohol

May 1

Tyler Peterson, 25, of Rolling Meadows, was charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis near Madison and Edson at 5:55 p.m.

April 30

Jaroslaw Misterka, 42, of Addison, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage near St. Charles and Columbine at 1:56 a.m.

Efrain Rebollar, 29, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with DUI, speeding and following too closely near Butterfield and Technology at 3:45 a.m.

April 29

Alan Andrade, 25, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and no insurance near Roosevelt and Garfield at 4:46 a.m.

Harassment, threats

May 2

A complainant at a haircare facility in the 800 block of Roosevelt advised at 12:19 p.m. that a subject threatened her during a phone call.

A complainant in the 600 block of S. Lalonde advised at 1:11 p.m. that a subject threatened her during a phone call.

May 1

A complainant in the 2000 block of Queesbury Court advised at 8:32 p.m. that a subject threatened her.

April 28

A complainant in the 300 block of E. Morningside advised at 8:41 a.m. that a juvenile received a threatening message on Snapchat.

April 27

A complainant in the 600 block of N. Joyce advised at 10:39 p.m. that two subjects are harassing and threatening him.

April 26

A complainant in the 400 block of Vista advised at 12:45 p.m. that she found a student identification card in her vehicle. The complainant advised the vehicle was unlocked and nothing appeared to be missing.

April 24

A complainant in the 200 block of W. Arboretum advised at 9:45 a.m. that a subject was harassing her. The subject agreed to stop contact with the complainant.

A complainant at Speedway, 1150 S. Main St., advised at 2:50 p.m. that two subject described as white males pulled up to her vehicle while she pumped gas. The subjects yelled obscenities and threatened her. The subjects left the area.

A complainant in the 200 block of S. Finley Road advised at 6:57 p.m. that a subject followed her to her residence following a verbal altercation. The subject left the area prior to an officer’s arrival.

Leaving the scene of an accident

April 29

Megan Smith, 40, of Lombard, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, no valid driver’s license and no insurance subsequent to an accident near Meyers and Roosevelt at 7:21 a.m.

Missing person

April 25

A complainant in the 1100 block of S. Finley advised at 1:07 p.m. that a victim left the residence and has not returned.

Possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia

April 29

Diontray Ratcliff, 31, of Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis, driving while license suspended, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no seatbelt and no passenger seatbelt near Main and Roosevelt at 8:57 p.m.

April 28

Cesar Soler, 24, of Lombard, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia near Main and 15th at 8:09 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances

April 28

A complainant in the 500 block of S. Edgewood advised at 1:18 a.m. that he heard glass breaking and found a shelf in his cabinet had shattered.

April 27

A complainant in the 500 block of S. Fairfield advised at 6:54 p.m. that a male subject has been walking in the area for the past several months. The area was checked for the subject with no results.

An employee at the Beer House, 322 Yorktown, advised at 10:39 p.m. that a subject entered a private party and began drinking the remains of unclaimed drinks. The subject was issued a trespass warning and transported from the scene.

April 26

An employee at Stay Inn, 222 E. 22nd St., advised at 2:53 a.m. that several subjects described as black females were walking around the building in the parking lot. The area was checked with no results.

An employee at Fifth Third Bank, 96 Yorktown, advised at 11:51 a.m. that a subject described as a black male approached a witness at the ATM station. The witness yelled at the subject, who left the area. The area was checked for the subject with no results.

An employee at PNC, 2801 S. Highland, advised at 4:31 p.m. that a male subject was behaving erratically. The subject was told to leave the property.

An employee in the 800 block of Foxworth advised at 4:44 p.m. that several juveniles were bumped into a fountain and begin throwing rocks at the fountain. The employee yelled at the subjects and they fled the area. Later, a subject described as a black male confronted the employee regarding the incident with the juveniles.

April 24

An employee at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main, advised at 7:15 a. m. that a male subject approached students on the street. The subject agreed to leave the area.

May 2

Nathan McGee, 18, of Darien, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 2:22 p.m.

Fraud was reported in the 400 block of E. North at 2:58 p.m. An employee advised that a subject used a fraudulent check to pay for a vehicle purchase on April 27.

Fraud was reported in the 800 block of E. Madison at 11:24 a.m. A complainant advised that her personal information was used to open a credit account.

Burglary to a vehicle was reported at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 6:29 p.m. A complainant advised that items in her vehicle were displaced and her cell phone was missing.

May 1

Ambria Sullivan, 23, of Berkeley, was charged with retail theft at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 1:21 p.m.

Monica Thomas, 28, of Bellwood, was charged with retail theft at Carsons, 230 Yorktown, at 6:41 p.m.

Retail theft was reported at Victoria’s Secret, 157 Yorktown, at 7:44 p.m. An employee advised that several subjects described as Hispanic females distracted another clerk while a subject removed merchandise from a display and fled the store.

Theft was reported in the 900 block of S. Charlotte at 9:18 a.m. A complainant advised that she paid a subject to construct a deck, but the subject never finished the deck and will not return her money.

Theft was reported in the 100 block of Grove at 9:20 a.m. A complainant advised that 30 prescription bills were taken from the residence.

Fraud was reported at 2:30 p.m. A complainant advised that a subject used his Social Security number to apply for benefits.

Fraud was reported at Eddie Bauer, 203 Yorktown, at 3:13 p.m. An employee advised that a subject purchased merchandise with a fraudulent credit card and later returned the items for a refund.

Fraud was reported in the 600 block of N. LaLonde at 4:06 p.m. A complainant advised that his personal information was used to open a Nicor account.

April 29

Armed robbery was reported at 7-Eleven, 801 S. Westmore, at 10:42 p.m. An employee advised that a subject described as a white male entered the store and displayed a gun. The subject took cash from the register and fled the store.

Burglary to a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of E. Butterfield at 9:58 p.m. A complainant advised that a tool box was taken from his vehicle.

Deceptive practice was reported in the 600 block of Lilac Way at 9:24 a.m. A complainant advised that they received a fraudulent check as start pay for a new job.

Forgery was reported at CVS, 60 Yorktown, at 3:13 p.m. An employee advised that a subject submitted a fraudulent script.

Theft was reported at X Sport, 205 W. Roosevelt, at 3:24 p.m. A complainant advised that the lock was cut off his locker and his keys were taken. The same complainant also advised a wallet was taken from his vehicle.

April 28

Raul Araos-Cesar, 40, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 7:37 p.m.

A complainant advised at 12:25 p.m. that a subject contacted him claiming that he won a lottery and needed to pay the taxes.

Identity theft was reported in the 1-100 block of N. Main St. at 1:40 p.m. A complainant advised that a subject used her personal information to open a Comcast account.

Theft was reported at Zales, 203 Yorktown, at 2:45 p.m. An employee advised that three pairs of earrings were taken from a display case.

Burglary was reported at Asian Paradise Spa, 81 E. Butterfield Road, at 5:55 p.m. Three victims advised that four subjects described as black males entered the spa and took their purses from the back room and fled the area in a vehicle.

April 27

Theft was reported in the 1000 block of E. Division at 6:19 p.m. A complainant advised that a package was taken from the front of the residence.

Forgery was reported in the 2200 block of S. Highland at 11:16 p.m. A complainant advised that a subject took possession of a check issued to the complainant and cashed it.

April 26

Daniel Witczak, 39, of Glena, Mo., was charged with retail theft at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 1:46 p.m.

Theft was reported at Marshalls, 102 Yorktown, at 12:02 p.m. A complainant advised that her wallet was taken from her purse while she shopped.

Retail theft was reported at Sprint, 203 Yorktown, at 12:17 p.m. An employee advised that a cell phone was taken from the display rack on April 22.

April 25

Burglary to a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of W. St. Charles at 10:14 a.m. A complainant advised that the window of his vehicle was smashed and several items were taken from the vehicle.

Burglary to a vehicle was reported at the Patio, 2780 S. Highland. Two complainants advised that a purse and a bottle of perfume belonging to the second complainant were taken from the truck of the complainant’s vehicle.

April 24

Identity theft was reported at Mattress Firm, 2770 S. Highland, at 2:38 p.m. An employee advised that two subjects used fraudulent credit cards to purchase mattresses.

Warrant arrest

May 1

Police said Jesse Loucks, 23, of Lombard, was taken into custody on an original Lombard Police Department complaint for endangering the life of a child.

April 30

Villa Park police advised of the arrest of Danielle Racasi, 31, of Lombard, on an original Lombard Police Department complaint for retail theft.

Police said Omar Zoubi, 21, of Lombard, was taken into custody on a DuPage County Sheriff warrant.

April 28

Police said Fadia Jaber, 40, of Bridgeview, was arrested on a Lombard Police Department original complaint for deceptive practice.

Police said Angel Vargas, 25, of Cicero, was taken into custody on a Lombard Police Department original complaint for criminal damage.

April 27

The Jo Davies County Sheriff advised of the arrest of Jodean Buske, 43, of Lombard, on a Lombard Police Department original complaint for vehicle theft.

April 26

Police said Jeremy Jordan, 32, of West Chicago, was taken into custody on a Lombard Police Department original complainant for theft.

April 24

Police said Sarah Gustafson, 41,of Lombard, was taken into custody on a DuPage County Sheriff’s warrant.
