Donnie Jo Biddle, nee Myers, of Elmhurst, formerly of Glen Ellyn, passed away on May 18, 2017, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Arthur J.; loving mother of Annie (Mick) O’Dwyer and Marc Kapsalis; grandmother of Marcos, Liam, Caleb and Ella; dear daughter of the late Elwood and Donnie Marguerite Myers. Donnie Jo was born in 1936 and grew up in Glen Ellyn. She fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a professional dancer and loved telling stories about her time dancing at The Starlight Theater in Kansas City and her acts with Sammy Davis Jr. and Jimmy Durante at the Chez Paris in Chicago. She later became a dance teacher and taught in Elmhurst and Glen Ellyn for 35 years. She choreographed, prepared the music and sewed many of the costumes and fulfilled another dream by having the Glen Ellyn Symphony perform at her recitals. She was a dedicated member of the Glen Ellyn Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) for 60 years. She loved to sew, kit, spin wool and spent time volunteering at Graue Mill. Her faith was the foundation of how she lived her life. Those who knew and loved Donnie Jo will remember her kindness and devotion to her friends and family. Memorial Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst on Monday, June 5 from 4-8 p.m. Memorial Service on Tuesday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 E.
