Bensenville Police Reports

The Bensenville Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

May 3, 2:22 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Green St., a juvenile made a complaint of a known suspect allegedly touching her in an inappropriate way. The DuPage Children’s Center was contacted and the case is under investigation. BV17004247

May 3, 4:41 p.m. in the 300 S. block of York Road, a complainant reported that an unknown suspect(s) opened a cable service account under his identity. The case is under investigation. BV17004253

May 2, 10:11 a.m. in the 300 block of E. Green St., Jorge Leonel Garcia Lopez, 34, of Bensenville, was arrested for an in-state warrant. BV17004196

May 2, 1:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Meyer Road, a complainant reported that an unknown suspect discarded a large pile of cut-up fencing on his property. BV17004197

May 2, 3:15 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Devon Ave., William C. King Jr., 29, of Zebulon N.C., was arrested for obstructing identification and theft of service. BV17004199

May 1, 9:49 a.m. in the 300 block of W. Grand Ave., a service manager reported during the last four months approximately 63 smart key fobs have gone missing. The case is under investigation. BV17004159

May 1, 11:42 a.m. in the 400 block of W. Irving Park Road, the general manager of a store reported a new employee apparently took cash from the register on his first day of employment. The case is under investigation. BV17004163

May 1, 2:28 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Green St., a complainant reported her boyfriend has sent several thousands of dollars to an unknown person in Mexico who has threatened her boyfriend’s family if he did not pay. The case is under investigation. BV17004166

April 30, 11:21 a.m. in the 400 block of W. Green St., a complainant reported being harassed through electronic communication by her ex-boyfriend. The case is under investigation. BV17004127

April 29, 10:48 p.m. in the 1000 block of W. Irving Park Road, Miguel Cifuentes, 21, of Addison, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, no driver’s license, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor and an in-state warrant. BV17004116

April 28, 12:07 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Green St., the parents of a juvenile reported her missing. Information was entered into LEADS. This case is under investigation. BV17004064

April 28, 2:20 p.m. in the 600 block of Supreme Drive, an employee reported approximately 90 cellphones were missing from a shipment. The case is under investigation. BV17004067

April 27, 3:16 p.m. in the 1-100 block of W. Irving Park Road, a store manager reported that an unknown suspect attempted to take several bottles of liquor without paying for them and when approached by the manager, the suspect threatened him by saying he had a gun. The case is under investigation. BV17004036

April 27, 6:20 p.m. in the 100 block of W. Sonny Lane, a complainant reported her ex-boyfriend hit her several times with a curtain rod as she tried to retrieve her personal belongings. This case is under investigation. BV170034043

April 27, 9:45 p.m. near County Line Road and E. Grand Ave., a complainant reported an unknown vehicle hit her mailbox and left the scene. The case is under investigation.
