The Lombard Police Department reports

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Battery

March 26

Jonathan Greco, 25, of Des Plaines, was charged with battery in the 1000 block of E. Division at 10:26 p.m.

Criminal damage or defacement to a vehicle or property

March 26

A complainant in the 1300 block of S. Finley advised at 12:04 p.m. that her vehicle was scratched with a key.

March 24

A complainant in the 2500 block of S. Finley advised at 4:40 p.m. that her vehicle door was damaged by another vehicle door.

A complainant in the 800 block of E. South Broadway advised at 515 p.m. that a shed at her residence was damaged but nothing appeared to be missing.

March 23

A complainant in the 00 block of N. Broadview advised at 10:15 a.m. that his vehicle was damaged by BB pellets.

March 22

A complainant in the 500 block of N. Stewart Ave. advised that between March 20 and March 22, the rear window of his vehicle was shattered.

March 21

A complainant in the 400 block of S. Craig Place advised that between March 20 and March 21, the rear window of his vehicle was shattered.

Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of E. Madison. An employee advised that two windows were damaged by a BB pellet between March 20 and March 21.

Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported in the 600 block of E. Madison. A complainant advised that a window of his vehicle was damaged by a BB pellet between March 20 and March 21.

Criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of W. Windsor at 10:05 p.m. A complainant advised that the front window of an owner’s residence was damaged by a BB pellet.

Disorderly conduct, trespass notice

March 23

An employee at Extended Stay, 260 E. 22nd, advised at 12:57 a.m. that two subjects were in the lobby fighting. Both were escorted out of the building.

March 19

An employee in the 400 block of S. Main advised at 12:58 p.m. that a subject approached him and was verbally abusive.

Domestic incident, domestic battery

March 24

A 36-year-old Aurora man was charged with domestic battery in the 400 block of S. Addison at 4 a.m.

Domestic battery was reported in the 800 block of W. Foxworth Blvd. at 3:36 p.m. A complainant advised that a juvenile struck a victim several times. The juvenile was transported to the Lombard Police Department, charged and released to a relative.

March 23

A complainant in the 200 block of E. Wilson advised at 3:10 p.m. that they had argued with a subject, who followed the complainant and spit on her vehicle.

A complainant in the 00 block of W. Ann St. advised at 4:41 p.m. that a subject pushed his way into the bathroom and slapped her in the back of her head during a verbal argument.

March 20

A 44-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of S. Finley at 2:38 a.m. Police said the subject hit a victim on the head during a verbal argument.

March 19

Two complainants in the 800 block of Foxworth Blvd. advised at 10:16 p.m. that a subject threatened them with a knife. An officer was unable to locate the knife. The two complainants left the residence for the night.

DUI

March 25

Joseph Betzwiser, 25, of Lisle, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and failure to signal near Elizabeth and Eugenia at 2:36 a.m.

Lauren D. Messina, 33, of Lombard, was charged with DUI near Wilson and Main at 12:39 a.m.

Vinson Perkins, 34, of Joliet, was charged with DUI, speeding and an improper turn signal in the 700 block of W. Roosevelt at 1:50 a.m.

March 24

Daniel Bollweg, 26, of Carol Stream, was charged with DUI in the 600 block of W. North at 3:11 a.m.

March 23

Stacy Kuhn, 31, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI and speeding near Main and North at 11:57 p.m.

March 22

Umman Ali, 24, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage near Roosevelt and Westmore at 12:16 a.m.

March 21

James Keating, 51, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, driving too fast for conditions and no insurance near 22nd and Grace at 2:59 p.m.

March 20

Mina Awad, 21, of Downers Grove, was charged with DUI, speeding and no insurance near Butterfield and Meyers at 1:23 a.m.

Ronald Thomas, 66, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license suspended, driving on the wrong side of the road, improper lane usage and no insurance near Roosevelt and Finley at 12:36 a.m.

March 19

Joseph Dauben, 35, of Naperville, was charged with DUI near Roosevelt and Surrey at 4:03 a.m.

Harassment, threats

March 25

An employee at Scrumptious By Hira, 1059 S. Stewart, advised at 2:37 a.m. that a subject is posting negative comments on his business website.

A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth Blvd. advised at 4:33 p.m. that a subject is harassing her. The complainant was given information regarding an order of protection.

March 23

A complainant in the 100 block of W.22nd St. advised at 9:18 a.m. that a subject described as a black male yelled at her for parking in a handicap space despite her having a placard.

March 22

A complainant in the 1000 block of Apple Lane advised at 11:40 a.m. that they received an excessive number of unsolicited phone calls.

March 21

A complainant in the 300 block of N. Westwood advised at 11:06 p.m. that a subject threatened her during a phone call.

Obstruction

March 22

Shelby Richmond, 28, of Lombard, was charged with obstructing justice, resisting a police officer, driving while license suspended, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, no insurance and no seat belt in the 200 block of W. Morris Ave. at 6:02 p.m.

Possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia

March 26

Brian Hayden, 29, of Wadsworth, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested on a warrant in the 1000 block of E. Roosevelt Road at 12:27 p.m.

March 23

Deatrice Jones, 43, of Maywood, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with a video device, driving with one headlight and no insurance near Butterfield at Meyers at 4:07 a.m.

March 22

A juvenile in the 200 block of N. Westmore was charged with possession of cannabis at 7:11 p.m.

Suspicious circumstances

March 25

An employee at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield Road, advised at 6:48 p.m. that they heard a loud popping noise and observed a box of ammo on the floor with smoke in the area. A complainant advised he reached for the box, the box fell on the floor and a bullet went off.

March 21

A complainant in the 200 block of S. Main St. advised at 8:16 a.m. that they observed a female subject defecate between the buildings. The subject advised she was homeless and left the area.

March 20

A complainant at 102 Yorktown advised that a subject was following a juvenile. The subject advised that the juvenile had been bullying her son at school. Both were told not to have contact.

Theft/burglary/attempted theft or burglary/identity theft/fraud/forgery/deceptive practice/robbery

March 26

Amanda Walker, 27, of Heavuelton, N.Y., was charged with retail theft at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 4:01 p.m.

An employee at Sunglass Hut, 157 Yorktown, advised at 2:10 p.m. that two male subjects had taken three pairs of sunglasses and left the store without paying.

A complainant at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, advised at 7:49 p.m. that a hubcap was removed from one of the tires of her vehicle.

March 25

Allen Macklin, 19, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 1:44 p.m.

Retail theft was reported at JC Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:31 p.m. Police said a juvenile was transported to the Lombard Police Department, charged and released to a parent.

Fraud was reported in the 200 block of E. Central at 10:30 p.m. A complainant received a call from a subject claiming to be a relative requesting money.

Theft was reported in the 100 block of Arboretum Drive at 8:38 p.m. A complainant advised that a ring was taken from the residence.

March 24

Retail theft was reported at Target, 60 Yorktown. An employee advised that between 10:56 and 11:26 a.m., two subjects described as black males had taken several packages of Crest Strips and Rogaine, and left the store without paying.

March 23

A complainant in the 00 block of S. Park Ave. advised at 12:16 p.m. that his vehicle was taken from the parking lot.

Retail theft was reported at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 12:32 p.m. An employee advised that a male and female subject had taken merchandise and left the store without paying.

Retail theft was reported at Victoria’s Secret, 157 Yorktown, at 9:49 p.m. An employee advised that the theft sensor activated but did not observe a subject. The employee advised that several items were missing from a display.

March 22

Zundra McKay, 21, of Hillside, and Jovantae Withers, 23, of Berkeley, were charged with retail theft at Jewel, 1177 S. Main, at 11:34 p.m.

A complainant in the 200 block of E. Taylor advised at 8:50 a.m. that his personal information was used to open a Comcast account.

An employee at Kinder Care, 200 block of St. Charles Road, advised at 1:36 p.m. that a laptop was taken from the director’s office.

March 20

A complainant in the 1100 block of E. Cambria advised at 11:47 a.m. that a check she received from a subject was fraudulent.

Identity theft was reported in the 1000 block of E. Division. A complainant advised that her personal information as used to open up an AT&T account on July 15, 2016.

A complainant in the 300 block of W. Madison advised at 9:28 p.m. that he received a call from a subject requesting his credit card information.

March 19

David Ventura, 29, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 4:23 p.m.

A complainant at Jewel, 1177 S. Main, advised at 1:40 a.m. that her wallet was taken from the break room.

Retail theft was reported at Fas Fuel, 909 E. Roosevelt, at 3:08 a.m. An employee advised that a subject described as a black male had taken two cartons of cigarettes and fled the store.

Theft was reported in the 200 block of Arboretum Drive at 11:27 a.m. A complainant advised that his recycling and garbage cans were missing from the front of the residence.

Burglary to a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of N. Kramer at 12:06 p.m. A complainant advised that her purse was taken from the front seat of her unlocked vehicle.

Warrant service

March 26

Police said Alfonso Castillo, 27, of Villa Park, was arrested on a warrant near Westmore and St. Charles at 7:25 p.m.

March 24

Police said Robert Payne, 30, of Glen Ellyn, was taken into custody on two DuPage County Sheriff warrants near Wilson and Main at 11:32 a.m.

March 23

Police said David Capps, 36, of Lombard, turned himself in on two DuPage County Sheriff’s warrants at 2:56 p.m.

March 20

Police said Shaquilla Simmons, 22, of Lombard, was arrested in the 200 block of E. Wilson on a Lombard Police Department original complaint for unlawful use of a credit card.
