“Music as One” released by the York Album Project

The York Album Project will be celebrating the release of their third album “Music as One” 2017 on Saturday, May 6 at 12 noon at Schuba’s Tavern, 3159 N. Southport Ave., Chicago. Several groups from York High School will be performing original music. Tickets are available at the door for $5 or through Schubas website lh-st.com/Shows/05-06-2017+York+High+School+Album+Project. CDs will be available at the show for $10. All ages are welcome.

With the release of this album on Monday, April 24, “Music as One” will be available to download for $10 or stream for free via Bandcamp at yorkalbumproject.bandcamp.com. The album will also be available to stream on Spotify soon after the Bandcamp release. CD’s will available for $10 at the album release party at Schuba’s.

More about the York Album Project

The York Album Project is a group of several musicians from York High School that collaborate every year to write, record, and release an album of all original material. This year’s album, Music as One, is the third album released by The York Album project since 2015. Music as One features 22 different artists or groups from York that have written and recorded original songs during the 2016-17 school year. The album project is led by York Music Teacher, Chris Gemkow, with support of York music teacher Mike Pavlik and audio engineer, Tim Flynn, of Audio Wall Studio in Lombard. The York Album Project continues to highlight the incredible musical talent and creativity that exists at York High School.
