The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Assault

April 6

Jeffrey Allen, 44, of Lombard, was charged with aggravated assault near Finley and 22nd Street at 11:07 a.m. Police said Allen threatened a victim with a knife during a verbal argument.

A complainant near North and Route 53 advised at 5:35 p.m. that a subject threatened him with a knife following a traffic altercation.

Battery

April 7

An employee in the 2000 block of S. Highland Ave. advised at 6:03 p.m. that a subject struck him on the shoulder several times.

Criminal damage or defacement to a vehicle or property

April 9

Criminal damage was reported in the 100 block of Grove at 9:48 a.m. A complainant advised that a subject damaged the walls of a residence.

April 6

A complainant in the 700 block of E. North Broadway advised at 4:28 p.m. that the driver’s side door handle of her vehicle was damaged.

April 2

A complainant in the 300 block of E. Elm advised at 5:23 p.m. that the rear window of his vehicle was damaged with a paver brick.

Disorderly conduct, trespass notice

April 8

Disorderly conduct was reported in the 800 block of E. Roosevelt at 8:39 a.m. A complainant advised that two subjects posted threatening comments about her and her business on social media.

Domestic incident, domestic battery

April 8

A complainant in the 400 block of W. Crescent Blvd. advised at 11:26 a.m. of a physical altercation with a subject. The complainant agreed to leave for the night.

April 7

A complainant in the 700 block of s. Lalode advised at 8:43 a.m. of a physical altercation with a subject. Neither wanted to sign a complaint. The complainant left the residence.

April 6

A parent in the 100 block of E. Ash advised at 10:52 a.m. that a juvenile prevented her from leaving the residence and threw the phone as she attempted to call 911. The juvenile was charged with domestic battery an interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and transferred to the Kane County Youth Detention Center.

April 3

A complainant in the 300 block of N. Columbine advised that a 50-year-old Lombard man struck him during a verbal argument at 12:33 a.m. The suspect was transferred to DuPage County Jail.

April 2

A complainant in the 500 block of S. Westmore advised at 3:04 p.m. that she and two other subjects pushed each other during a verbal argument. The first suspect left prior to an officer’s arrival. The complainant was provided information regarding an order of protection.

DUI, possession of alcohol by a minor

April 9

Herman Lofton, 44, of Bellwood, was charged with DUI, speeding, no insurance and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle near Meyers and Butterfield at 1:59 a.m.

Cinthia Velazco, 24, of Carpentersville, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage near Roosevelt and Lincoln at 2:41 a.m.

April 8

Ashley Croy, 27, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, no insurance and improper lane usage near Main and 14th at 4:16 a.m.

Joel Sukasi, 22, of Forest Park, was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage near Main and Roosevelt at 3:06 a.m.

April 7

A complainant in the 400 block of W. Windsor advised at 2:35 p.m. that a subject was lying on the street. A juvenile was located and found to be intoxicated. The juvenile was issued a local ordinance violation at the scene and transported home.

April 4

Tylor Basaldua, 24, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and no insurance near Country Lane and Highland at 12:39 a.m.

April 2

Ricardo Ruiz, 45, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI and speeding near Main and Grove at 12:11 a.m.

Harassment, threats

April 9

A complainant in the 700 block of S. Main St. advised at 7:38 p.m. that a subject continues to call her after she ended their relationship, and showed up at her residence.

April 7

A complainant in the 200 block of S. Westmore advised at 10:38 a.m. that they received a call from a subject claiming to be a police officer.

April 6

A complainant in the 300 block of Garfield Street advised at 1:44 p.m. that a subject threatened him during a phone conversation, but the subject denied threatening the complainant. The subject was told to stop contact with the complainant.

A complainant in the 1000 block of Highmoor advised at 8:38 p.m. that she received several calls from a subject after she ended the relationship. The subject was told to stop contact with the complainant.

April 5

A complainant in the 700 block of E. North Broadway advised at 4:28 p.m. that a subject continues to text and call her. The subject advised he would stop contact with the complainant.

April 2

A complainant in the 100 block of W. St. Charles advised at 4:05 p.m. that a subject was verbally abusive and threatened him.

Missing person

April 9

A complainant in the 200 block of W. Crystal advised at 5:21 p.m. that a juvenile left the residence and has not returned.

April 5

A complainant in the 100 block of E. Ash advised at 10:22 p.m. that a juvenile left the residence and has not returned.

Possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia

April 2

Maurice Boens, 23, of Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis at Embassy Suites, 707 E. Butterfield, at 12:58 a.m.

Empris Jones, 21, of Maywood, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia near Butterfield and Downers at 12:25 a.m.

Suspicious circumstances

April 8

An employee at Circle K, 600 W. North Ave., advised at 5:03 p.m. that a subject described as a black male became verbally abusive. The subject left prior to an officer’s arrival.

April 7

A complainant in the 200 block of N. Martha St. advised at 10:14 p.m. that a subject described as a juvenile white male knocked on his door and then fled.

April 6

A complainant in the 200 block of Yorktown advised that a female subject threatened to jump off a building at 4 p.m. The subject was located and refused assistance.

April 2

A complainant in the 1-100 block of Woodland Court advised at 3:56 p.m. that a subject yelled at her when she asked him to turn down his music. An officer checked the area for the subject with no results.

An employee at Amstar Gas Station, 938 E. St. Charles, advised at 6:13 p.m. that a subject was refusing to leave. The subject was transported from the scene.

Theft/burglary/attempted theft or burglary/identity theft/fraud/forgery/deceptive practice/robbery

April 9

A complainant at Target, 60 Yorktown, advised at 7:36 a.m. that two male subjects had taken merchandise and left the store without paying.

A complainant near N. Broadway and Lewis advised at 11:54 a.m. that the passenger window of his vehicle was broken, and that several items were taken from the vehicle.

April 8

Burglary was reported at Northern Baptist Seminary, 610 E. Butterfield, at 8:30 a.m. An employee advised that audio visual equipment (two projectors) were taken between 6 p.m. April 7 and 8 a.m. April 8.

Vehicle theft was reported at International Car Center, 434 E. North Ave., at 10:32 a.m. An employee advised that a white Ford F350 was taken from the lot.

Identity theft was reported in the 1100 block of E. Woodrow at 2:30 p.m. A complainant advised that his personal information was used to open a cable account.

Theft was reported at X-sport, 205 W. Roosevelt, at 9:34 p.m. A complainant advised that his jacket was taken from a locker.

April 7

Viktoriia Doros, 25, of Chicago, was charge with retail theft at Last Chance, 100 Yorktown, at 8:32 p.m.

David Wesley, 39, of Aurora, was charged with theft, battery and resisting a police officer in the 800 block of S. Westmore at 1:21 p.m.

Retail theft was reported at J.C. Penney, 175 Yorktown, at 8:43 p.m. Three juveniles were transported to the Lombard Police Department, charged and released to a parent.

April 6

Katlyn Bermele, 26, of Lemont, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 2:38 p.m.

Vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Central at 9:26 a.m. A complainant advised that between March 3 and April 6, her vehicle was taken from the driveway.

An employee of a cab company advised at 12:04 a.m. that a subject exited the cab without paying at Stay Inn, 222 E. 22nd St.

Fraud was reported at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 11:03 a.m. An employee advised that a subject purchased merchandise with a fraudulent gift card.

Theft was reported at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main, at 5:53 p.m. A complainant advised that a juvenile’s cell phone was taken.

Theft was reported at Transdev, 720 E. Butterfield Road, at 8:39 p.m. A complainant advised that her purse was taken from her desk.

Theft was reported in the 300 block of W. St. Charles Road at 9:13 p.m. A complainant was advised that his prescription medication was taken from the residence.

April 4

A complainant in the 400 block of E. 22nd St. advised at 9:12 a.m. that a subject made unauthorized withdrawals on her debit card.

Fraud was reported in the 800 block of E. 22nd St. at 10:05 a.m. A complainant advised that her credit card information was used for unauthorized purchases.

Fraud was reported at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 5:38 p.m. An employee was notified of five fraudulent chargebacks that were processed between 3:55 and 4:32 p.m. March 23.

April 3

Michelle Marek, 27, of Berwyn, was charged with unlawful use of a credit card at 7-Eleven, 594 S. Main, at 6:07 p.m.

Fraud was reported in the 1-100 block of W. Greenfield at 8:59 a.m. A complainant advised that she received a phone call from a subject requesting her bank account information.

Theft was reported in the 800 block of Foxworth Blvd. at 10:38 a.m. A complainant advised that a subject had taken her debit card and made unauthorized transactions against her bank account.

Fraud was reported in the 200 block of S. Craig at 5:20 p.m. A complainant advised that her credit card number was used to make unauthorized purchases.

April 2

Fraud was reported at Marshalls, 102 Yorktown, at 1:50 a.m. A complainant advised that her debit card information was used for unauthorized purchases.

Fraud was reported in the 200 block of S. Main at 7 a.m. A complainant advised she lost her credit card and was notified of unauthorized purchases made against her account.

Fraud was reported in the 500 block of W. Meadow at 8:59 a.m. A complainant was notified of an unauthorized withdrawal of $15,000 made against her account.

An employee at Buffalo Wild Wings, 207 E. Roosevelt, advised at 8:01 p.m. that a subject left the restaurant without paying.

Warrant service

April 8

Police said Jordan Mason, 24, of Plainfield, was taken into custody near Roosevelt at Briar at 1:44 a.m. on an outstanding Cook County Sheriff’s warrant.

Police said Michael Meszaros, 24, of South Elgin, was taken into custody in the 200 block of E. 22nd St. at 12:45 a.m. on a Cook County Sheriff’s warrant.

April 3

Police said Justin Wolter, 24, of Glen Ellyn, was in custody on a Lombard Police Department original complaint for retail theft. He was transported to the Lombard Police Department, booked and released on cash bond.
