Robber makes off with cash
Elmhurst Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Clark gas station on the corner of 2nd and Addison Avenue at 4:35 p.m. Police are searching for a male/black in his early 20’s who was wearing a green surgical mask, light gray hoodie, and dark gray pants. The offender displayed a handgun and took an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and fled the scene on foot going southbound.
Four police units surrounded and taped off the gas station while others checked the neighborhood. Police officers also stood guard at the Elmhurst train station. No injuries were reported. Story updates to follow.
