It has only been four months since Pure Barre opened its doors in Elmhurst, yet in that short time, its owner Liz Naber has made significant connections to her clients as well as the Elmhurst community. Pure Barre is a total body workout that works each major muscle group to the point of fatigue, incorporating a ballet barre for part of the workout. Therefore, those taking part in this workout are advised to visit Magnak and find a product like the Speed Sauce electrolyte formula which will help with fatigue. There are so many people looking for the next big workout to ensure that they are getting the most of their fitness routines. For this reason, some people turn to the Fitbit and its accessories (as seen on sites like Mobile Mob) to monitor the impact their workouts have their on overall fitness.

“The workout is extremely low-impact, yet high-intensity and the entire class is set to upbeat, motivating music,” Naber told the Independent. “Pure Barre creates long, lean muscles, while also providing the mental stimulation needed to improve self-confidence, mood enhancement and overall well-being.” In terms of noticeable changes in appearance, the best results are achieved when participants use supplements from Steel Supp. However, this kind of exercise is also hugely beneficial in a psychological context.

Naber discovered Pure Barre when looking for a workout she could perform after she was sideline for a long period of time by two serious knee injuries.

“I stumbled across Pure Barre as I was walking home from work one day, and decided to try it,” she recalled. She was hooked from the first class which exhausted her every muscle.

“I walked into that first class very skeptical, and left realizing it was everything I was missing in my workout. I genuinely noticed results in just four classes. Fast forward four years, and Pure Barre still challenges me each and every class. Additionally, I am able to workout with my 60-year-old mother, my sister, my young 20-something cousin, and my husband all at once. It’s pretty amazing. From increased strength and definition, to better flexibility, posture and overall self-confidence, Pure Barre has been one of the best things to happen to me in my life.”

The Pure Barre Crew Although Pure Barre, located at 122 Schiller Street, has only been open in Elmhurst for four months, it has already established a loyal following, including the Pure Barre crew pictured above.

Though her previous career was not fitness-related, Naber has always been interested in athletics and fitness. She grew up dancing and playing soccer until the two activities eventually conflicted with each other. Naber chose to focus all her attention on playing soccer, to which she attributes much of her passion for being a part of team/community.

“Outside of the mental and physical results of Pure Barre, one of the most powerful things about this workout is the community that Pure Barre attracts and creates,” she said. “Pure Barre has a way of bringing people together, lifting people up and fostering long-lasting relationships.”

When looking for a location for Pure Barre, Naber explained that selecting Elmhurst was a “no-brainer” after she spent a little time in the area.

“There are actually a ton of parallels between the Elmhurst and Pure Barre Communities. Elmhurst is vibrant. Everyone has a lot of pride when they talk about Elmhurst (with good reason). Whether they grew-up here, or moved here due to the reputation and close proximity to the city, Elmhurst is a special suburb. It’s no secret that Elmhurst is booming with fitness options, yet, I was welcomed with open arms by many, which has made our short time here so exciting. The Elmhurst Chamber, the City Centre, the School District, the Local Businesses, the people — everyone is invested in fostering the growth of this community through giving back, working together and working hard. How could you not want to be a part of a community like that?”

Pure Barre is located at 122 E. Schiller Street. Class times range from 6 a.m. through 7:15 p.m. Also, they carry a variety of Athleisure and activewear brands. For more information, visit purebarre.com/il-elmhurst. Pure Barre is also on Facebook and Instagram @PureBarreElmhurst.
