Police Reports

Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Addison

March 15

• Police said Jose M. Sanchez, 25, of Addison, had an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for aggravated assault and was arrested at around 9:59 p.m.

March 9

• Martin Brizuela, 30, of Elk Grove Village, was charged with obstructing identification, aggravated driving while license revoked, no insurance and one headlight near Lake and Briar Hill at around 8:08 p.m. Police said that subsequent to a traffic stop, the suspect provided officers with a false name.

• Jorge L. Vargas, 20, of Addison, was charged with unlawful contact with a street gang member in the 1-100 block of Elizabeth Drive at around 5:01 p.m. Police said Vargas knowingly had contact with a street gang member after receiving such notice that contact would violate his condition of probation.

March 8

• Police said Moheb Ahmadi, 25, of Westmont, was found to have a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for traffic violations subsequent to a traffic stop near Itasca and Surrey at around 10:45 a.m. He also was charged with disobeying a stop sign and no insurance.

• Police said Maritza A. Concepcion-Frierson, 39, of Maywood, a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation, was found to have a warrant out of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department for traffic violations.

• George P. Lewkowicz, 34, of Elk Grove Village, was charged with theft in the 400 block of E. Orchard St. at around 12:40 a.m. Police said officers responded to a country club in the area to speak with the suspect about a cell phone that he had borrowed from a classmate and hadn’t returned.

March 5

A 23-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery in the 600 block of Briar Hill Lane at around 1:23 a.m. Police said the suspect punched a victim with a closed fist several times on the nose.

March 3

Police said Octavia R. Cattron, 28, of Addison, turned herself in to police on a warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court at around 11:08 a.m.

Villa Park

March 4

• Jesus Austria, 28, of Chicago and Jose Austria, 24, of Villa Park, were charged with damage to property in the 700 block of N. 2nd at around 3 p.m.

• Jennifer L. Ristick, 32, of Villa Park, was charged with retail theft at a store at around 10:50 p.m.

• Alex G. Smith, 32, of Tinley Park, was charged with two counts of DUI and transportation or possession of alcoholic liquor in a vehicle in the 1-100 block of W. Park at around 5:45 p.m.

• A 27-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 400 block of N. Hamilton at around 4:44 p.m.

March 3

• Orion L. Ferrel, 18, of Wheaton, was charged with two counts of endangering the life of a child at around 12:53 p.m. Jan. 17. The original complaint and arrest warrant was issued March 3.

• Tamaris D. Thomas, 24, of Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis in the 500 block of E. Washington at around 12:49 a.m.

March 1

• Michele Murillo, 21, of Glendale Heights, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident/vehicle damage, refusal to give information after having an accident, failure to report an accident to police, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, using an electronic communication device while operating a vehicle and no insurance near Villa and St. Charles at around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 21. The original complaint and arrest warrant was issued on March 1.

• Criminal damage was reported in the 1200 block of S. Ardmore. Police said that between 7 and 8:15 p.m., an unknown suspect damaged the rear window of a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

Feb. 28-March 1

Theft was reported in the 1000 block of N. Yale. Police said that between 7 a.m. Feb. 28 and 4:30 p.m. March 1, an unknown suspect took a model airplane lawn ornament from a victim’s yard.

Feb. 26

• Mladen Kuzmic, 31, of Willowbrook, was charged with retail theft at a store at around 6:47 p.m.

• A 32-year-old Westchester man was charged with two counts of domestic battery and driving while license suspended in the 100 block of E. Roosevelt at around 10:16 p.m.

• A 48-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 300 block of N. Ardmore at around 3:22 a.m.

Feb. 25

Joseph J. Pistello, 42, of Villa Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of cannabis, driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle with suspended registration for no insurance and no insurance near Villa and St. Charles at around 6:26 p.m.
