Man allegedly pulls knife on bartender who denies his entrance

On Feb. 28, Andrew Urso, 26, of Villa Park, was charged with disorderly conduct in the 700 block of W. St. Charles at around 9:16 p.m. Officers responded to a lodge in the area for the report of a subject with a knife. Police said the victim was behind the bar when Urso rang the door bell requesting entry. She refused to let him in and he stated he had a knife and showed it to her, according to police. She again refused to let him in and he left the area. The Villa Park Police Department located Urso, and he was taken into custody.

Suspect in minivan reportedly approaches victim leaving dance class

Suspicious circumstances were reported on Feb. 28 when a complainant told police at around 7:25 p.m. that while the victim was waiting to be picked up from dance practice, a suspect described as a white male approximately 30 years old driving a gray minivan rolled his window down and told the victim he was an Uber driver there to pick her up. The victim told the driver the ride was not for her and the driver left the area northbound on Commerce.

Two suspects sought after suspicious behavior at residence

On Feb. 24, a victim in the 200 block of S. Poplar told police at around 2:09 p.m. that he was approached in his driveway by Suspect 1, who stated he did concrete and tree work. The victim walked Suspect 1 to his backyard and showed him some trees that needed trimming. While in the backyard, Suspect 1 reportedly took a phone call and spoke in a foreign language. Suspect 1 then went to the front of the house where he was stopped by the victim’s caretaker. The suspect then allegedly ran away, southbound on Poplar Avenue. The victim’s caretaker had been in the basement when she heard a voice she did not recognize. When she got upstairs, the caretaker saw a second suspect inside the residence. When confronted, Suspect 2 reportedly fled the residence and got into a black Jeep Cherokee, which drove away from the area. Upon checking the residence, it was discovered that several dresser drawers in the bedroom had been opened by Suspect 2, but nothing appeared to have been taken. The first suspect was described as either a white or Hispanic male with a dark complexion, around 5-7 and 200 pounds, wearing gray-colored clothing. The second suspect was described as either a white or Hispanic male with a dark complexion, around 38 years old, 6 foot and 150 pounds with short black hair and wearing dark clothing.
