The Bensenville Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Feb. 22, 7:02 p.m. in the 1100 block of Grove Avenue, a complainant reported an unknown suspect keyed his vehicle. The case is under investigation.  BV17001794

Feb. 21, 3:33 p.m. in the 100 block of E. George St., a complainant reported an unknown suspect attempted to withdraw money at three different ATM locations but was unsuccessful. The case is under investigation.  BV17001750

Feb. 20, 9:25 a.m. near E. George St. and So. York Road, a complainant reported an unknown suspect removed a sign from private property. The case is under investigation.  BV17001697

Feb. 19, 9:36 a.m. in the 1000 block of David Drive, a 39-year-old Bensenville man was arrested for domestic battery. BV17001660 andBV17001662

Feb. 19, 6:53 p.m. in the 100 block of Grace Street, a complainant reported his vehicle plate sticker was taken by an unknown suspect. The case is under investigation. BV17001681

Feb. 18, 12:12 a.m. near E. Green St. and S. York Road, Metz M. Chazz, 32, of Franklin Park, was issued a village ordinance citation for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. BV17001611

Feb. 18, 2:29 a.m. in the 700 block of W. Irving Park Road, Luis A. Zayas-Torres, 28, of Bensenville, was arrested for driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor and possession of drug paraphernalia. BV17001615

Feb. 18, 8:32 a.m. in the 1-100 block of N. York Road, Roshaonda D. Hill, 36, of Bensenville, was issued a village ordinance citation for possession of cannabis. BV17001622

Feb. 18, 9:23 a.m. near S. Center St. and W. Green St., a complainant reported several signs were removed from a fence at this location. This case is under investigation. BV17001623, BV17001630 BV17001640

Feb. 18, 9:27 a.m. in the 200 block of S. Church, a juvenile suspect was issued a village ordinance citation for operating a small motorcycle on school/park district property. BV17001624

Feb. 18, 9:57 a.m. in the 200 block of W. Sonny Lane, a complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke all the windows and slashed the four tires on his vehicle. This case is under investigation. BV17001626

Feb. 18, 1:11 p.m. in the 100 block of E. George St., a complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) made two unauthorized cash withdrawals using his debit card. The case is under investigation. BV17001628

Feb. 18, 7:57 p.m. in the 1-100 block of W. Main St., a 32-year-old Bensenville man was arrested for domestic battery. BV17001649

Feb. 17, 1:03 p.m. in the 1300 block of Medinah Street, a complainant reported an unknown suspect opened a cable account in her name without her authorization. The case is under investigation.  BV17001577

Feb. 17, 1:43 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Hillside Drive, a complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) burglarized the dryer in the laundry. The top of the dryer and the coins were taken from the machine. The case is under investigation. BV17001508

Feb. 17, 6:08 p.m. in the 100 block of E. George St., a complainant reported an unknown suspect made several unauthorized transactions from her account without her authorization. The case is under investigation. BV17001596

Feb. 17, 7:42 p.m. in the 1-100 block of N. York Road, Maucelio R. Garcia-Gomez, was arrested for a failure to appear warrant. BV17001603

Feb. 17, 11:27 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Washington St., a complainant reported an ex-employee threatened him with bodily harm. The ex-employee was also trespassing on the property. This case is under investigation. BV17001609

Feb. 16, 2:49 p.m. in the 100 block of S. York Road, officers responded to a report of a suspect(s) possibly breaking into the house.  Upon arrival, officers found that a window air conditioner unit removed from a back window.  Officers entered the house and found no one inside. An unspecified amount of cash was reported to be missing. The Du  Page County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene technicians assisted in collecting evidence at the scene.  The case is under investigation.  BV17001547
