IC Catholic Prep High School recently was selected to receive the Illinois High School Association sportsmanship banner award in conjunction with the school’s football team winning the Class 3A state title this past fall.

IC Catholic Prep will receive a custom banner from the IHSA to display at the school in honor of this recognition.

The IHSA awards sportsmanship banners to schools that exemplify the ideals of sportsmanship at the state final tournaments in all team sports. A committee consisting of Sportsmanship Advisory Committee members, IHSA staff members and other tournament personnel grade each participating school’s coaches, players and fans based on a rubric developed by the Sportsmanship Advisory Committee.
