Marlis E. Rentsch, longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Hans H. Rentsch; loving mother of Christian (Cindy) Rentsch, Stefan (Janet) Rentsch and Katrin (Dave Dickow) Rentsch; grandmother of Caylie and Chelsea, Christopher (MaryBeth), Brian (Kim), Eric (Alicia) and Andrew (Kate) and Ben (Laurel) and Heather (Robert); great grandmother of Alyssa, Evan, Asher, Owen, Campbell, Lily and Lucy; sister of Rosemarie Langen and Doris Wahl; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Marlis emigrated from Essen, Germany with her husband and children in 1961 and raised her family in Elmhurst. Marlis retired after 18 years as a nurse at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. She volunteered at the hospital for 15 years after her retirement. Services and Interment Private. Sharon Pacheco, 73

Sharon Dawn Pacheco, nee Mionske, of Downers Grove and formerly a longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 73. Beloved companion of Don Gushi and wife of the late Damian Pacheco; loving mother of Steven (Angel), Daniel (Julie), John (Karen), Mark, Debra (Joe) Lajb and Kevin (Tracy); cherished grandmother of Jason, Brian, Brandon, Ryan, Joshua, Bryce, Damian and Joey; proud great grandmother of Zachary, Logan and Coralie; sister of Donna (Mike) Wisnewski, Debra (Bruce) Spencer and Dean (Susan) Mionske; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Sharon worked at Elmhurst College for more than 25 years and loved her church. A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St. Interment private. Prentice “Hank” Marshall Jr., 63

Prentice “Hank” Marshall Jr., an Elmhurst resident, passed away recently at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Kim nee Legue; loving father of Shaynee, Megan, Garret (Melissa) and Clare (Joe) Widmar; proud grandfather of Hannah, Frances, Eliana and Prentice “Corey”; dear son of the late Lorelei and Judge Prentice Henry Marshall Sr.; brother of Pamela (Mike) Holcombe, Constance Pilato and the late Frederick (Carolyn Jacobs surviving); beloved son-in-law of Nadine Legue; brother-in-law of Richard (Bonnie) Legue and Valerie (David) Grindley; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Hank was an avid Cubs, Blackhawks and Illini fan, a partner with Sidley, LLP and Past President of the Board of Directors of Onward Neighborhood House.
